｢前法務大臣･河井克行被告参議院議員･妻の案里被告｣
背景となった参院選
事件の舞台となったのは､去年7月に行われた参議院選挙｡
去年3月に立候補を表明した河井案里被告｡その結果､自民党本部と広島県連の争いが水面下で繰り広げられることになった｡
地元の広島県連は､現職の溝手氏で1本化する方針を決める中､党本部は案里氏を後押しし､有力な国会議員を続々投入｡
総理秘書なども広島入りさせ支援を呼びかけるとともに､案里氏には溝手氏の10倍にあたる1億5000万円を提供した｡
選挙は案里被告が溝手氏を破って当選を果たした｡
国会議員の夫妻が一部共謀の上､100人に対し現金約2900万円を配ったとされる前代未聞の大規模買収事件｡現金を受け取ったとされる地元議員らは40人にのぼり､広島の政界は混乱に陥っている｡
初公判で河井克行被告は､現金提供を大筋で認めた上で､｢当選祝い｣等とともに無罪を主張した｡なぜ多額の現金をばらまき､現金授受はどのように進められたのか｡
